Today there’s a safer and more effective process to disinfect water. Over 1200 MIOX on-site sodium hypochlorite and mixed-oxidant systems have been installed worldwide, eliminating hazardous chlorine while still leaving a chlorine residual.
The MIOX systems use only salt, water and power to generate a chlorine-based disinfectant solution. Advantages over traditional chlorination include safety, regulatory ease and elimination of mixing and dilution requirements.
